Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) is one of Europe’s most modern venues situated within a historical yet vibrant, cosmopolitan city on the doorstep of some of Scotland’s most stunning scenery.

The Centre underwent an £18 million redevelopment and expansion, which was completed in April 2003. This positioned the AECC as a truly world-class facility, ideal for any event from small company meetings to major international congresses.

One of the Centre’s major advantages is its flexibility. The majority of the larger halls can be subdivided, allowing separate conferences and exhibitions to run simultaneously. Breakout rooms have also been clustered conveniently round the larger halls, making them ideal for conference syndicate sessions or roundtable discussions, as well as useful stand-alone facilities that can be hired for smaller meetings.

As well as offering a world-class facility with plenary capacity for up to 2000 delegates, 7300m2 of purpose built exhibition space, a 440 seat purpose built auditorium, two 565m2 multi purpose suites , a third floor state of the art conference room for 240 and 20 breakout rooms ideal for smaller meetings, the AECC also offers a professional team of experts who are on hand to assist in the organisation and running of any event.

In 2004 AECC was awarded ‘12th Best Congress Centre in the World’ in AIPC’s Apex Award as well as a Silver Award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
